We are now planning for the covid and flu vaccines but will be running things slightly differently this year due to the change in criteria for those who are entitled to have the COVID vaccine this autumn. The criteria are as follows. Please click on the links for more detail.

COVID vaccine

  • are aged 75 or over (including those who will be 75 by 31 January 2026)
  • are aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment
  • live in a care home for older adults

NHS COVID-19 vaccine

FLU vaccine

  • are aged 65 or over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2026)
  • have certain long-term health conditions
  • are pregnant
  • live in a care home
  • are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer’s allowance
  • live with someone who has a weakened immune system

Frontline health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employer.

NHS Flu vaccine 

Please note the following changes for those who are entitled to the COVID vaccine. Those with chronic long term illness e.g. asthma, diabetes and heart disease etc and health care workers and carers NO LONGER ARE ENTITLED TO THE COVID VACCINE.

You will get a text to book an appointment for individual COVID and flu vaccines, or you can have your Flu vaccine with your COVID vaccine. The Clinics are planned as follows.

  • Saturday 4th – Flu ONLY clinic
  • Saturday 11th – Flu ONLY Clinic
  • Saturday 18th – COVID vaccines and FLU combined if wanted
  • Saturday 25th – COVID vaccines and FLU combined if wanted

We will also be arranging smaller Covid and flu clinics during the week from Monday 8th October
