contractAccess to your health record

You can now access your full medical records online using SystmOnline and the NHS app. In order to start this process please contact the surgery to setup an online account. This can take up to 28 days. Once you are set up, you will have full access to to view your consultations, medications, investigations, attached documents, problems and general care history.

Under the Data Protection Act 1998 people have the rights to see any files about them, including their health records. Access can only be denied if there are compelling reasons. the Data Protection Act replaced the access to Health Records Act 1990 on 1st March 2000, except applications to see records of someone who has died.

stethoscopeGP average pay

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Little Waltham & Great Notley surgery in the last financial year was £41,300 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 5 full time GPs, 6 part time GPs and 3 locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.

However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.

The NHS app

If you are a patient at our practice, you can use the NHS App to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet.
It doesn’t replace existing services. You can still contact us in the usual ways.
Once you have verified your identity in the app, you will have easy, 24/7 access to a growing range of health services and information. You can:

  • order repeat prescriptions
  • access NHS 111 online
  • find NHS services
  • view your health records
  • book appointments
  • and much more…

If you have any problems using the NHS App, you can select ‘help’ in the top right-hand corner of the app or visit nhs.uk/helpmeapp.
